The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to terms with free agent guard Jake Matthew Matthews, according to a league source.

The Cowboys are expected to give Matthews a three-year contract worth $4 million, the source said.

Matthews, 27, played for the Lions from 2014-15 before signing with the Cowboys in 2015.

He has been a starter for the Cowboys since 2015.

Matthew is coming off a career year in 2016.

He was named the NFC offensive rookie of the year.
